How it works

Three moves, and the first one takes a minute.

  1. 1

    Say your one goal

Open the bot and tell it what you are actually working on, in your own words. One goal, no project management ceremony.

  2. 2

    Leave short notes

Text or voice, whenever you have something to say. One note a day is plenty. Zero is fine too.

  3. 3

    Read Sunday's letter

Your week as it actually was, written from your own notes, ending in one next step you can approve, edit, or reject.

What the letter looks like

Short, specific, and made only from your own words. It never invents, never scolds, and never pretends to know more than it does.

Rejecting the suggested step costs nothing, ever. Some weeks the honest move is rest, and the letter is allowed to say so.

Sunday letterWeek of Oct 5
You wrote on four days, and two of those days you were tired. The proposal moved on Tuesday and stalled Wednesday. You noticed the pattern yourself: it stalls on days you start with messages. One win worth keeping: the walk happened twice, and both times you counted it as nothing. It was not nothing.

The promises, built in rather than bolted on

These are not slogans. Each one is a rule in the software.

Never guilt, shame, or fake urgency. The tone rules are enforced in code, not left to good intentions.

No punishment pricing. You are never charged for a missed goal. That is not the business model.

Your memory is yours. Export everything or wipe it all, instantly, from inside the chat.

It is software, and it says so. No fake human behind the curtain, ever.

Pricing

Everything happens inside Telegram. The trial is 7 days, charged through Stripe, and the bot itself tells you exactly what you are paying for before anything is charged.

Honest answers

The questions that deserve a straight answer, not a marketing one.

Is this just a chatbot?

The chat is the door, not the product. Behind it: a memory that keeps your notes, a rhythm that checks in at most once a day, and a Sunday letter assembled only from your own words. It is software, and it says so.

Why would I want this?

Streak apps sell guilt back to you, and it works until it does not. Cairn keeps the useful part, being noticed and reflected honestly, and drops the part that makes you quit. One small step a week, which you can reject for free, forever.

What about my data?

Opening the bot gives you a private one to one chat. Another person tapping the same link gets their own separate chat, like two calls to the same number. Your notes live in your own folder, never sold, never published. One honest exception, said plainly: when you ask the bot a question, that text goes to an AI service to compose the reply. /export gives you everything, /wipe deletes it all.

Is this therapy?

No, and it never pretends to be. Cairn is a writing and reflection tool for everyday follow through, not medical or clinical care. If you are carrying something heavy or in crisis, please talk to a trained human. In the US you can call or text 988, and anywhere else, your local crisis line or emergency number. Reaching out to one is a strength.

What happens if I miss days?

Nothing. No streak breaks, no penalty, no disappointed tone, no special offer to win you back. The letter says what happened, not what should have happened.

Does it work for more than one goal?

Start with one. The whole point is that one goal gets your honest attention instead of five getting your guilt. You can change the goal any time it stops being the right one.

One goal. Honest notes. A letter that tells the truth.

It takes a minute to start, and it never guilts you for the days you miss.
